The Chairman began with introductions and feedback from November 07 User Group.
This was followed by a presentation from Rab Welsh of the HM Revenue & Customs called Importing and Organising Difficult Data (Turning logic rules into equations within IDEA to obtain useful information from user-unfriendly data). This described the thought process and work involved in bringing into IDEA some data stored in a particularly unhelpful format.
It was then the turn of Steve Hubbard, Senior Business Analyst, HBOS Group Audit, to describe what work was undertaken when HBOS embarked on a feasibility study into the implementation of IDEA 7.2, migrating from IDEA 2002. This included issues such as user acceptance testing and what pitfalls to avoid.
Lastly, Andy Sloman delivered the Product News from AuditWare and Hints & Tips on using IDEA.
Report to follow.
The previous meeting was a success, and the organising committee would like to thank all of the attendees and the presenters.
Paul Fantham's presentation on the changes to IDEA between 2004 and 7 can be downloaded by clicking here. Hopefully, other presentations will become available in due course.
